Beautiful Baguio City

Greetings from Baguio City!

Today was such a wonderful day! I awoke to a beautiful pre-sunrise at 4:30 this morning, followed by the singing of the birds. I was able to stretch, relax, meditate then have some amazing breakfast with brambleberry tea and coffee!

I took a taxi to the bus terminal and purchased a bus ticket to Baguio City. It was only a 7 hour bus ride, and I was the only one on the bus who spoke english! Can you believe that? LOL. I'm here at the campus now, and I'm excited for different relationships to be built.

Until next time,

Love and peace.

Day One: Travel to Taiwan and Manila!

Hi friends,

Today I traveled from Seattle to Taiwan. I'm sitting in the airport right now (8:45AM Thursday) and in Seattle, it's 5:45PM Wednesday. I'll be flying into Manila within the next 5 hours, then traveling to hotel and the US Embassy. If it's nice enough, I might just put my feet in the sand for a while. It's only 90 degrees today in the Philippines.

People ask: "How do you live with yourself? You'll be in nice weather for 6 weeks!" I just smile and say "Well, I try!" Many more pics to follow.

Here's a picture of my food in Taiwan! Pork Noodle Wonton with Chocolate Bubble Tea!

Owen in the Philippines

Hi friends! This blog is designed to keep you informed about my experiences in the Philippines while I'm there. Today is Wednesday, 4/14/2010. The time is 12:18AM, Pacific Standard Time, I've been awake for 20 hours so far. I'll be flying from Seattle to Taiwan, then from Taiwan to Manila, Philippines.

Please remember the Chinese who fell victim to a 6.9 magnitude earthquake, as they are only 1500 miles from where I will be. Over 70 people are dead and many buildings have collapsed. I only hope that rescue workers will make haste when rescuing victims. I only hope that rescue comes soon to those who are hurting. If I had the gear I'd be there in a heartbeat, maybe two.

I look forward to sending you many pictures and stories on this page!

Thanks

Owen
